An adorable antique French ormolu pocket watch stand dating from the early 1900's. It would have originally stood on a gentleman's night stand and he would have hung his watch from the hook at the top at night. The red velvet pad would have protected the back of the watch from scratching.

The top of the stand is beautifully decorated with two adorable kissing cherubs. They have lovely curly hair, rather chubby tummies and the cutest little wings. This was probably a love token from a lady to her husband or beau.

The stand has two highly decorative acanthus leaf scroll feet at the front and the back foot is also decorated. The back support is fixed and is very sturdy.

This gorgeous stand would also display jewellery and would make a fabulous chic addition to any boudoir.

It measures 14.5 cm (5.75 inches) high x 11.5 cm (4.5 inches) across the feet x 7 cm (2.75 inches) deep.

This is a fabulous antique French brass doorknocker in the shape of a lady's hand and dating from the 1800's.

It is a substantial, good quality example of considerable weight.

The hand has elegant long fingers and there is a frilled cuff and bracelet at the wrist. The fingers clasp a ball which forms the actual knocker.

The back bracket from which the hand is hinged is also very substantial.

It has a threaded hole to take a bolt for fixing to the door. (We have used a new bolt which is included  - purchaser may need to us a different length bolt depending on thickness of door)

The brass has mellowed over the years to a fantastic antique hue but it would polish to a shiny finish if required.

This doorknocker would grace the grandest of doors.

This is a superb piece of antique French blue and white striped mattress ticking dating from the early 1900's.

The ticking would have originally been used to make a mattress cover which would have been stuffed with feathers to make the mattress. This piece has still got a soft down of feathers on the reverse side.

The textile is a tight cotton weave which is very strong and would be perfect for upholstery projects.

The ticking has a blue base colour similar to that of dark denim. This is alternated with broad bands of narrow blue and antique white stripes.

Although used, the ticking is thick and crisp. There are a few rust marks approx. 20 cm from one edge. It also has a few light marks as one would expect but these are only surface marks and would launder out.

There is plenty of textile for projects, this piece measures 198 cm (6 ft 6 inches) long x 138 cm (4 ft 6 inches) wide.

A fabulous piece of period textile to add a little vintage French charm to any home.

This is a divine, good quality, antique French spelter figurine of a chubby child at study and dates from the Napoleon III era 1852 - 1870. It is an authentic piece and would add charm to any period French display.

The child sits at study on a decorative plinth. He is as nature intended save for a swathe of fabric draped around his hips and over his arm. His chubby legs are bare and his podgy feet are crossed. He holds a book in one hand, which he studies pensively, his head rests on the other. Another book awaits his attention.

He is cast in beautiful detail. His facial features are clear and he has a fabulous head of hair. His cute little fingers and toes can be seen in stunning detail.

The spelter figurine stands on an ebonised base and has good weight. All is in good condition with one small casting hole on the back.

It measures :- 12cm (4.75 inches) high x 14.5 cm (5.75 inches) wide x 8 cm (3.25 inches) deep.
