This is a charming vintage French / Swiss pocket watch face dating from the early 1900's. We found it with a batch of others in the Jura region of France but they could have come from Switzerland, just over the mountains.

As it was found in a batch I do not think it has been used. The enamel face is white with black Roman numerals. There are Arabic numerals above these to represent the minutes. At the bottom of the face is a tiny dial to measure the seconds. In the centre of the face is the name 'La Vigilante' in attractive script.

The enamel has the merest hint of patination from the passage of time.

It measures 3.8 cm (1.5 inches ) in diameter.

This is a useful vintage watch part for the budding horologist or an interesting  piece for a decorative project.
