This is an adorable antique French crucifix with a winged cherubic angel.It is made from celluloid and dates from about 1880.

This charming crucifix would have originally been used to put in the crib or bassinet of a newborn baby to protect it.

The angel has beautiful curly hair. His wings are full and feathery and frame his exquisite face.

The crucifix is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.

I have left it as I found it and it would clean up further if required.

It measures H 18 cm (7 inches) x W 10 cm (4 inches) x D 5 cm (2 inches).

This heavenly crucifix would make a fabulous addition to any vintage display.
